A memorable trip to Borneo and Hong Kong for a Holiday New Year - Part 2

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a city that holds a special place in my heart. It was the first place I arrived after deciding to leave England to embark on a life as an English teacher in Asia in 2006. I can still recall the view of the city from the window as the plane came into land, breathtaking!

I'd always wanted to show Lauren Hong Kong, so we arranged a brief 2 day stay on our way back to Japan from Borneo.

Hong Kong's famous skyline

The Peninsula Hotel appeared in the 1974 movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. If it's good enough for James Bond...The view from the bar on the top floor is spectacular!

All the great cities have trams; Hong Kong, Hiroshima, San Francisco and of course Blackpool!

Lauren and I visited Happy Valley on our HK trip!

One speaks a lot of sense and can kick my arse, the other is a statue of Bruce Lee!

No Bruce here mate. This is Jet!

Beautiful in the day or at night!

2014 marks 8 years in Asia for both Lauren and I.
We have loved ever minute of it!

And finally...

This picture was taken on New Years Day 2012.
It is of a beer I drank many times in China!
